Categories
This year, we're hosting 11 different categories. We encourage you to choose the category that best fits your ability and identity.
Male/Female Divisions
- Beginner: V0-V3
- Intermediate: V4-V6
- Advanced: V7-V8
- Open: V9+
Mixed Divisions
- Youth (2012-2017 birth year, Wave 1 only)
- Master (45+ years or older)
- Non-Binary
*We require a minimum of 6 participants to run each category
Open Category Qualifiers Format: Modified Redpoint
- Climbers will have three hours to climb the available boulders at their own pace, in any order.
- Each competitor will be allowed a maximum of ten attempts on each of the eight boulders.
- Any contact with a climb will be counted as an attempt. This includes, but is not limited to: falling, false starts, foot slips, one hand finishes, bailing off the route, etc.
- Boulders must be begin with a controlled start in order to count toward scoring
- Competitors may receive help from others during the competition.
- They are permitted to discuss the routes, beta, and any aspects of the climb with others.
- Scoring
- Points can be earned by reaching the designated zones or top of a boulder, valued at 5, 10, and 25
- Each attempt will amount to a 0.1 point reduction
Open Category Finals Format: Onsight
- Finals will be preceded by a boulder preview of two minutes per boulder.
- Finals will be “Single Boulder Rotation” format.
- Each boulder will be tried by all competitors in reverse order of placement (6th place, then 5th, then 4th, ect.)
- Each boulder will be tried by all competitors before moving onto the next boulder.
- Each boulder will be attempted on a four minute plus clock.
- If a competitor is on the wall after their four minute time clock expires, they may complete that attempt.
- After completing all attempts on a boulder, competitors will return into isolation.
- After their four minute time clock expires, they will return to isolation.

The 4 Noses Brewery and their adjoining businesses will tow your vehicle; however, the G1 lot and street parking are free. There will be overflow parking in the business lots on the south side of G1. G1 Climbing + Fitness is not responsible if your vehicle gets towed.
